TME Professional 7" Plastic NAB reels fit any deck that accepts a standard 7" reel of 1/4" wide tape. These reels have large 4" tape hubs just like many of the 7" reels of pre-recorded tape did years ago. The center mounting hole is the same as those used on regular 1/4" reels of tape. The idea behind the large hub is that the larger diameter hubs reduces torque being transferred from the takeup reel drive through the tape to the capstan resulting in more stable tape speed. There is NO tape end slot which is preferred, especially for 1 mil and thinner tape. Also, if you're distributing programs of lesser length, it looks better than a half empty reel.
